My name is _____ and I’m a resident of Washington County.

I’m concerned about the negative impacts SF 418 will have on transgender and non-binary residents in our county. No one should live in fear of discrimination.

Follow the example of other cities and counties in Iowa. Use your legal authority to pass a Civil Rights Ordinance banning discrimination based on gender identity in Washington County.

Our community must be a place where all can live abundant and free lives. This is up to all of us, but you have a unique and important role. Please do what is right - protect all members of our community.
